    All of these requirements or limitations say that the IP addresses of the source and destination must be the same. But, is that really the case? Isn't it just that the node names need to be the same in both the target and source?
    I don't really see how the IP addresses could really be the same?

    This requirement was true for Vertica 7.1.x release. However, this requirement is not applicable for all the backup and restore use cases for Vertica 8.0.x and Vertica 8.1.x releases.
