Can I use "Copy From Vertica" or "Export To Vertica" in Eon Mode?

A question came in today about copying data from an existing Enterprise Mode cluster to an Eon Mode Beta cluster using "Export To Vertica" or "Copy From Vertica".

The Dev and QA teams have confirmed that this will work but is failing occasionally in stress testing. The recommendation when using is as follows:

  • Use "Export To Vertica" because it is failing less often
  • Minimize concurrent DML
  • Ensure sufficient temp storage in the Eon Mode Cluster to stage the data
