Getting error while creating EON db using the admintools CLI

Hi,

While running the admintools CLI to create Db in EON mode, i am getting the following logs :

whats the sql? look like export to s3

Hi Sumeet,

I am using the below command to create the DB

/opt/vertica/bin/admintools -t create_db --database EON_TEST --hosts 10.131.75.111,10.131.75.81,10.131.75.32 --depot-path /vertica/data/EON_TEST_depot --shard-count 3 --communal-storage-location s3://eon-test-db/

This is the error i receive at the end.

ERROR: Database did not start cleanly on initiator node!
Stopping all nodes
Could not connect to database (EOF received)vsql: could not connect to server: Connection refused
Is the server running on host "10.131.75.111" and accepting
TCP/IP connections on port 5433?

which region is this bucket in. s3://eon-test-db/. can you try with a bucket in us-east-1

Tried us-east-1. But getting same error.

Hi Sumeet, i was able to create the vertica cluster using MC.

But when trying to insert data to a test table getting the following error.

Something went wrong while copying the files to persistent location. Please look at the vertica.log for more details

i was able to by pass that with setting the aws location parameter. please disregard the above error
