Tuple Mover (TM) Assigned More Resources in Vertica 9.1

In Version 9.1 and later, Vertica increases the default amount of memory assigned to the Tuple Mover (TM) resource pool from 200 MB to 5% of available memory. Doing so improves the performance merging out wide tables. If your GENERAL resource pool is defined by a percentage, the TM pool can potentially compete with the GENERAL pool for memory. Users running queries in the GENERAL pool may notice regressions in memory-sensitive queries. If you encounter this issue, your database administrators can adjust these pools to suit your needs.
