SELECT CLAUSE in UDF

We should have provision of using Select statements in the User defined functions. As of now the functionality is no more with Vertica. It really makes the User defined functions less flexible then previous versions.

    Hi Navin, Hm, I thought I posted this yesterday, but it seems to be missing... Sorry if it's in fact a duplicate: Could you be more specific about what you'd like? Maybe an example of a statement that you'd like to be able to run? I'm not quite sure what you mean; I could see a few different things. Also, what do you mean "previous versions"? Previous Vertica functionality? Other functionality in other databases? (If so, which databases?) Adam
