6.1.1 management console

The myVertica download site gives the 6.1.2 management console by default. If I try to load it with Vertica 6.1.1 installed I get this error: error: Failed dependencies: vertica-console conflicts with vertica-6.1.1-0.x86_64

Hi David, That's correct -- The management console received a number of major changes in 6.1SP2; the new version is not compatible with 6.1SP1 or below. If you plan to make significant use of the Management Console, I'd encourage you to upgrade to the latest Vertica service pack so that you can run the latest MC. You could download and install the 6.1SP1 Management Console. However, you would not be able to install it either -- one of the improvements in 6.1SP2 is that the MC is now able to run on the same machine as Vertica. (Previously, it required a dedicated server.) Adam
