ldap authentication

Can I configure someusers as LDAP auth and some as local auth? How can I do that? Also, I've been trying to configure LDAP auth but it doesn't seem to be working. I don't see anything in the log files. I only see "Auth failed" error on the console.

    I have the same issue,  I only GRANTed LDAP to one or two users, and can connect to the verticaDB remotely,  with those accounts password.  however,  it seems to propagate to other accounts , like dbadmin and other accounts I never GRANTED the LDAP authentication method.

    even though it appears to allow you to 'GRANT' to some users, it appears to apply it to public.
