Data loading in nodes

Hi All I have 10 nodes in a cluster. If i load 10tb of data will all that 10 tb of data will be taken a back up in all the 10 nodes. Please clarify . Thanks, Malar

    Hi Malar, Vertica is a distributed computing database.....so the 10tb data will be distributed evenly on all 10 nodes with some segmentations column, if you specify. For backup : The k-safety value defined how many copies of data you want on your cluster. So If you have k-safety 1 then data on one node will be copied to another offset node in terms of projections. So this means you will have exact replica of data on offset nodes and not every node will have 10tb of data
