vbr.py doesn't exist in CE 6.0.1

I am trying to upgrade from 6.0.1 to 6.1.2, so I am trying to back up my existing databases. It seems that vbr.py is not available in my original installation. I tried to copy vbr.py from the new version, but it is referencing v_catalog.storage_locations, which doesn't exist in 6.0.1. Any advice? Thanks!
