Hi, I have a question regarding database backup supported filesystems. Could I store the backup files on a Network File System (NFS) ? thanks, Pietro.

    Hi Pietro, Using vbr.py, you can save your data to a variety of locations:  A local directory on the nodes in the cluster  One or more hosts outside of the cluster  A different Vertica cluster (effectively cloning your database) I think we can use a NFS, but this will lead to performance degradation while doing restore. Recommendation include using a one backup host per node in the cluster for better performance and manageability.
