Installation File

The file from Enterprise and CE links has the same file name, vertica-6.1.2-0.x86_64.RHEL5.rpm.  Is it the same installation file for both kind of licenses, and the difference is the license key configuration?

It seems both the links point to same page that is " Enterprise Edition Software"

Previously it used to redirect to Community edition.
The community edition rpm used to come with vertica-6.1.2-0.x86_64.RHEL5.rpm with a CE keyword between the name.( I don't exactly remember the naming convention)
But for sure they used this naming convention to distinguish both the editions.

  • Hi Ashley, your assumption is correct that the installation file is the same and difference is in the license key configuration. Previously, the files were different but we made some changes in the download process this past summer.
  • Hi Danielle,

I've installed the file, and been using Vertica with the license key.  Now my license key is expired and I want to switch to CE.  What do I need to do?

    Thanks,

    Ashley
