need help to configure vertica loader connection in Informatica

I would like to create a Vertica loader connection in Informatica Powercenter (9.5.1), however, I do not see the option while navigating to Workflow Manager -> Connections -> Loader. There are options for other databases (TD, Oracle, Sybase, DB2) ... Are we missing any specific setting to allow a loader connection ?

    Thanks Amelia ...will eagerly look forward to any tips & tricks in this regard !

    I would also like to point out that we are able to connect through ODBC (from Informatica to Vertica), but that would not be performance friendly in case of high volume load. Hence, any best practices to leverage the bulk loader would be definitely helpful.

    Let us know, what Driver are you using.

    Is it the ODBC driver provided by Vertica for any ODBC connection from Windows
    Is it the Informatica Plugin provided by Vertica built specially for leveraging the performance of Informatica and Vertica
