    After installation v7.0 of the Management Console takes up around 300M.   You'll need to leave some room for the log file to grow - the size varies widely depending on the workload.

    Any ideas about approximate size for V6? We haven't got to 7 on the database yet!

    For 6.1.2+ this guideline should work as well.    

    For versions prior to 6.1.2, the minimum disk space for the /opt partition  is 750GB. The large disk requirement for those versions included space for an embedded vertica CE.

    is it possible to specify a different location for the log directory with v7 Management Console?  the default location - /opt/vconsole/log/mc  - is resulting in disk full issues in our environment.
