Vertica Load balancer — Vertica Forum

Vertica Load balancer

I am trying to configure a Vertica Load balancer - 6.1.3 version on RHEL6 . On a three node cluster setup , I have successfully installed the Load Balancer. But while trying to configure , in one of the nodes , I find the following error message
Keepalived_healthcheckers: SIOCGMIIREG on eth1 failed: Invalid argument

The /var directory is flooded with these error messages . Is this because of the KeepAlived version 1.1.17 ? I am unable to proceed to check the load balancer functionality.

  • Hi,

They are related to keepalive and not to vertica specifically. I would like to inform you that error messages you have received  (SIOCGMIIREG messages) are indeed due to your using older version of keepalived.

    Thanks,
    Vivek
