Unable to create a database using adminTools

So today I provisioned a brand new server on EC2 and installed Vertica 7.0.0.0-1 according to the instructions.  Then I followed the steps in the "Tutorial: Setting up an Example Database" in the GettingStartedGuide.pdf.  All went smoothly until I tried to create the database using adminTools.  I got this response below.  I'm surprised that I appear to be the only one having this problem.

I'll appreciate any suggestions.

Okay, so I added some print statements to SSH.py and found the problem was that adminTools couldn't talk to verticad because verticad wasn't running (there could probably be a better error message for this).   So this issue is resolved.
