Can I create multiple databases on one cluster?

Can I create multiple databases on one cluster (3 nodes)? I already have one dev database on that cluster. But I want to create a new dev database there for different project. is it okay or Vertica does NOT recommend multiple database on one cluster? thnaks.

Hello Wayne,

We do NOT support multiple databases in Production environments. You can, however, create multiple databases on Development/QA clusters.

Hi Wayne,

You can create multiple databases, but you can run only one database at a time.

So suppose you want to run another database

1. Stop currently running database
2. Start the new database.
