Recommended/optimal disk striping/block size
Hi All,
Are there any recommended settings for RAID and filesystem stripe and block sizes?
I'm standing up a 3-node, K=1 cluster. In each server, I have 15k SAS drives and I plan on a 2x RAID-1 for OS and a 14x RAID-10 for data.
EDIT: I looked in the 7.x install guide and didn't find any mention. And a search for block, stripe, etc in this forum didn't reveal anything.
EDIT 2: Using CentOS 6.5 64-bit. Stripe sizes possible on RAID controller: 64KB, 128KB, 256KB, 512KB, and 1MB.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
