vertica 6.1.3-11 rpm doesn't like installed vertica-client 6.1.3-0 rpm:

Is vertica-client 6.1.3-11 going to be out soon to address this?

Yes, I get that vertica-client is a subset of vertica, but as long as they are both at the same rpm revision level, the conflict doesn't come up.

Not clear? Are you trying to downgrade/upgrade Vertica_client? What version of vertica and vertica_client are you running?

We're using 6.1.3-0 (RHEL 5 rpm). We want to use 6.1.3-11, which conflicts with vertica-client 6.1.3-0. 

The question is when the corresponding client version will be available.

vertica-client is part (included) of vertica rpm. When you upgrade from 6.1.3-0 to 6.1.3-11, it should also upgrade the vertica-client. And also client_version 6.1.3-11 is already available. We would suggest follow the below link if upgrade is failing
