Is DL380P the only server supported for systems larger than 40 TB?

We are trying to develop a large data warehouse solution for our customers. We would like to provide flexibility to our customer to choose hardware for this platform.

I would like to know if hardware from other vendors will be acceptable for Vertica nodes.

Hi Gaurav,

Vertica is hardware independent, You can have server from any vendor as long as it supports minimum recommendation by Vertica.

Its just that Vertica recommends DL380 Server  and all its benchmarks are done on DL380 server.

If its a really Large DAtawarehouse, you can think of HP's new push button appliance for Vertica (Converged 300 Systems)
