We have a new installation of Vertica and we are using AWS services to host the installation.

AWS is recommending SSD drives for better performance over the standard 'spindle' drives.

The AMI image that Vertica recommends is configured with 'standard' drives.

Does anyone have experience using AWS SSD drives with Vertica?
