Take a look at slide 21 of this presentation by Etsy. It looks like they developed a tool called schlep to migrate data from PostgreSQL into Vertica and they said it would be open-sourced.

Has anyone used this tool? Is it available anywhere?

    It was mentioned at the Vertica Big Data Conference in August that this may be making an appearance on the Vertica Community Marketplace "soon".
