What is the maximum JOINs supported by Vertica?

I couldn't find this anywhere in the documentation, and hoping for a quick answer instead of testing this myself. What is the maximum number of tables that can be referenced using JOINs? For example, MySQL is 61 and SQL Server is just limited by resources.

  • Appears that Vertica is just limited by resources:
    SELECT *  dbadmin-> FROM   j j0001  dbadmin-> JOIN   j j0002 USING (id)  dbadmin-> JOIN   j j0003 USING (id)  dbadmin-> JOIN   j j0004 USING (id)  dbadmin-> JOIN   j j0005 USING (id)  dbadmin-> JOIN   j j0006 USING (id)  dbadmin-> JOIN   j j0007 USING (id)  dbadmin-> JOIN   j j0008 USING (id)  dbadmin-> JOIN   j j0009 USING (id)  dbadmin-> JOIN   j j0010 USING (id)  dbadmin-> JOIN   j j0011 USING (id)  dbadmin-> JOIN   j j0012 USING (id)  dbadmin-> JOIN   j j0013 USING (id)  dbadmin-> JOIN   j j0014 USING (id)  dbadmin-> JOIN   j j0015 USING (id)  dbadmin-> JOIN   j j0016 USING (id);  ERROR 3587:  Insufficient resources to execute plan on pool general [Request Too Large:Memory(KB) Exceeded: Requested = 1306729, Free = 1270992 (Limit = 1270992, Used = 0)]
  • Hi,

    What is the QUEUETIMEOUT setting in resource_pools now?
