Vertica with Ruby on Rails

Hi, All

We are starting to evaluate porting an existing ruby on rails app from MySQL to Vertica.
We use activerecord heavily.

Vertica does not have official support for ruby, however, there are several Gems that seem to do the trick. It is hard to tell which of these Gems is mature enough and of high quality without evaluating each.

If someone has experience with this, and can point us in the right direction, that would be great. Also, if you have recommendations or pitfalls to avoid, it would be really appreciated.
