informatica cloud to Vertica data load not handling special characters

Hello,

We are moving data from SFDC to Vertica using the Informatica cloud. But the special characters are not loading correctly in Vertica. 

Any help would be highly appreciated. 

Eg - 

For Source Colum , the valus is MONTRÉAL

where as for the destination it is - MONTR��AL

    How do you connect with Vertica using odbc or plug in. This seems to be something with the locale of the destination.
