Trouble integrating .NET and Vertica using ODBC Driver
Have successfully downloaded the ODBC client and can connect manually to Vertica 7.0. The problem we are having is that when using .NET it is unable to recognize the odbc dll that we previously downloaded and installed. Would like to understand if there is something else that we need to reference or download in order to programmatically connect to Vertica.
this is what was done:
1. added VerticaOdbcSetup_64.dll to the project
2. Then when writing 'imports Vertica.Data, it says Type 'Vertica.Client' is not defined
Do we need to download the entire ADO.NET library?
