Can User Security permissions be determined through LDAP in version 7.0?

In Version 7.0 we would like to be able to use LDAP as a method of assigning permissions to users based on what group they are in. I do not think Vertica 7.0 has that flexibility. Based on what I have seen we can certainly authenticate the user by LDAP but I am wondering if additional functionality is available in this release. I see that dragline 7.1 has some significant changes that may help in this area. Any ideas will be appreciated.
