Have you experienced the Query Label hint in HP Vertica? In this blog I am showing how to utilize it effectively in a vast Vertica reporting system.

    It's worth mentioning that query labels can (and should) also be used on other DML such as INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE.

    This is true, the hint is suitable for grouping all SQL statements. In this blog I demonestarted the Query use case but it can apply to DML as well.
