MC agent status DOWN sometimes

Need help!

On my Vertica cluster in MC I see some messadges: Agent Status Is DOWN On IP xx.xx.xx.xx. What is a problem? Can I drop the problem?

    Hi Igor, 

     

    The MC talks to the agent through a polling mechanism. If the MC is not able to reach an agent in the cluster, it will assume the agent is down. Most commonly, this is caused by network issues, and the connection gets restored soon after. If the MC is still able to communicate with your Vertica cluster, than the connection has been re-established and those 'agent down..' messages are safe to delete.
