LOading parquet file from Spark to vertica

HI,

 

I am trying to load a parquet file to vertica database using spark java in my local system( Cloudera quick start vm & vertica installed). Does vertica db supports parquet file??? If it is yes could you please guide me how to do this. Thanks in advance...
