Command Line administration for Vertica

Hi all,

 

I am fairly new to Vertica. I wonder if there is an administration guide that uses command line only. I installed Vertica on AWS machines. The available administration guide (http://my.vertica.com/docs/7.2.x/PDF/HP_Vertica_7.2.x_Administrators_Guide.pdf) often assume a GUI to achieve simple administration tasks, such as creating database. 

 

 

Is it possible to achieve same results with command lines only?
