Request feature: specify column position when using "alter table add column"

I would like to request a new feature to be built, to specify the position of a new column when using alter table to add a column.  Example "alter table myfact add column foo after column bar".  Is there a formal way to request this feature to be built?

Hi David

 

The formal way to request for a new feature would be "Raise a support case with Vertica Support" if you are a valid customer and hold a vertica support license.

 

After the case is raised Vertica will check the feasibility of your request and depending on further review/investigation it will be decided whether it calls for a enhancement request or not.

 

Suggest you to kindly go ahead & raise one with supported artifacts as to why it is required.
