Setting up Virtual IP in Community Edition Cluster

I recently installed Vertica 7.2 community edition on a 3-node cluster. I would like to setup a Virtual IP on the cluster. I am unable to find any recent instructions for the setup. Is the below once still hold good for the recent version of Vertica?

Will setting up the VIP also ensure load balancing? 

 

Can someone point to step-by-step instruction on how to setup VIP and load balancing?

Hi Ravi,

 

As of our 7.2.0 release we no longer support IPVS in Vertica. We do have our own native load balancing, which you can read about at the following link:

Since we do not maintain the content at the link you provided, I cannot speak to the accuracy of the instructions.
