How to setup alerts /email through console

how to setup alerts and send email through vertica console ?

 

is any one did it please tell me how to put alerts like Oracle OEM

Hi James, as of this version, event monitoring is handled via the Vertica Management Console, and direct email notification is not a supported option.  However customers can setup a server to monitor for SNMP traps, and then notify them via an email
