Basic Question to handle vertica DB

Hi,

   I am new to vertica database, i need guidance on few basic stuffs. I somehow managed to import the prebuilt VM with HP vertica in my oracle virtual box and created a sample DB too.

1) I read in one of the Doc that a sample DB with data's would be available by default, but i dont see it. Am i missing something?

2) How to exit the database after connection. I am trying to correlate everything with oracle, but exit didnt work out. Please advice.

       Are you talking about the VMart database? Did you follow all the steps mentioned in the below URL
