HPE OBR: Vertica not initializing after adding hosts

Hi 

 

I am having a problem when i add hosts into vertica, goes into initialzing state for a long long time. Tried all the spread and other options, reinstalled it once, it gets initialized when it was a single node. The moment i add two hosts, goes into initializing state and doesnt move from there.

 

Any help would be really appreciated.

    What does your setup look like? VM's? Bare metal? 

     

    Firewall between the hosts? Have you checked the logs? Do they say "waiting to be invited" ?

    Well they had release a new patch, removed it and reinstalled vertica after removing all relevant packages in the additional nodes, worked well without issues. Wonder why the patch needs to be installed on vertica!!
