Adding host to cluster

I was going through Adding Host to Vertica Cluster topic in Vertica Documentation:

 

It is mentioned that

  • Modifies spread to encompass the larger cluster.

Just curious what does it mean

    That means if your cluster is having >80 nodes that need to be consider as a large cluster. And for large cluster during installing it's good to use --large-cluster mode, which does not install a spread daemon on each node.
