vertica on azure- export data

We have installed DB2 vertica 7.1 on azure .Vertica is installed on private ip.

I connect using telnet/putty using public IP.  Now i want to transfer data from DB1 using 'export to vertica'  to vertica on azure. However i am unable to connect . How to connect to vertica on azure so that i can export tabel data. I cannot even connect from local DBvisualiser to vertica on azure . How to  enable
