Looking ahead to the new Vertica Forum and Community
Happy New Year!
In 2017, the Vertica Forum will have a new look and home by the end of January. The Vertica Forum, along with the Vertica Blog and Vertica Knowledgebase will be moving to http://my.vertica.com. We'll also include a link to Vertica's YouTube channel.
All these components will be publicly available and continue to provide great content that will enhance your Vertica experience.
The Forum will be based a great platform (www.vanillaforums.com) that will allow us to add new capabilities and make for a great experience as HPE Vertica evolves to Micro Focus. Use of the Forum has increased 60% over the last 12 months, and this new platform will help us manage our rapidly growing user community. We plan to create incentives for Forum users to answer questions and solve inquiries, so stay tuned.
We are doing everything we can to make this change as seamless as possible for our Forum participants. The new forum will retain your user profile and history, including your avatars. all existing content will migrate to the new platform. However, you will have to recreate a new password.
There will be a short amount of down time while we finish the migration, but we think the change will be worth it.
