Vertica S3EXPORT

Hi,

We are exporting data from Vertica to AmazonS3 using S3EXPORT . It was working fine. Now, we have upgraded vertica version to 8.1.1 and same operation is getting failed by giving below exception:

java.sql.SQLNonTransientException: [Vertica]VJDBC ERROR: Error calling processPartition() in User Function s3export at [src/S3.cpp:471], error code: 0, message: Client Error: The request signature we calculated does not match the signature you provided. Check your key and signing method.

Earlier, it was working fine for the same table. Table contains around 500000 records.

Please share information to resolve this issue.

Thanks in advance !

I am trying to debug this error. its seem like its transient. would you be willing to try a debug so and see if we can get more info. if so, let me know and i will contact you separately.

  • @skeswani is there a fix to this? I am receiving the same error in 8.1.1

yes, we recently fixed/patched this. I am not sure if it was backported to 8.1.1 or was fixed in 9.0. Support should be able to give you details after checking the version of vertica you are using. Have you opened a support case?
