What is the statement that Informatica fired with Execute Direct?
An Insert? a Select?
Did you use a normal ODBC connection to for Vertica?
Or did you use Informatica PowerConnect for Vertica (which you definitely should, as the speed improvement would be dramatic and PowerCenter's direct interaction with plain ODBC is rarely satisfactory)?
Insert into table from select *from table_name, Yes it is presql query
we are passing connection string through pram file.

May i know which Vertica version you are using?
I have also faced this problem in my environment and it has been acknowledged by vertica support that it is bug and wil be resolved in v8.1.x version. but it is not impacting any performance.
