Meaning of blocksize column in v_internal.dvros

I was just curious to know the meaning of the dv_ros.blocksize column in dv_ros. Is this Vertica's equivalent of a page size in most DBMSes? I'm trying to figure out the logic behind having 4K fs block size, for storing 64K blocks on a system. And what about the RAID stripe size (we use 256KB in here for a native block size of 4K (SSD))?
