Not able to connect to Vertica using Informatica Workflow Manager
I am not able to create connection to my vertica database from Informatica Workflow Manager. When I try creating a new connection, I don't get an option of vertica in list (See Image 1). But I have already installed vertica client driver on my laptop and have created a System DSN as well (See Image 2).
How can I set up a connecting in to Informatica workflow manager so that I can run my first transformation using vertica?

@sarahjohn. What version of PC are you using?
Hi,
Informatica Powercenter Workflow manager uses connections based on the 64bit ODBC DSNs created on the server machine to connect to vertica database and execute the workflow wherease the Powercenter Designer uses connections based on the 32bit ODBC DSNs created on the client machine to import or create the source/target table definitions.
Before using Workflow manager to execute the workflow, you need to create the connections based on ODBC DSNs. To create one, In the Relational Connection Browser, Select ODBC and click on New. In the 'Connect String', type in the name of 64bit ODBC DSN and click OK.
The latest versions of Informatica Powercenter have 'Vertica' subtype in the Relational Connection Browser. You can use that instead of selecting ODBC and then click on New and giving the 64bit DSN name in the 'Connect String' .
Moreover, Informatica powercenter gives you the option to use Vertica Bulk load feature for which you need to install the Vertica Plugin in the Admin console. Please refer to Vertica Integration with Informatica: Tips and Techniques:
