I am new in Vertica and Hadoop.

I have some data in data warehouse (HDFS files in gz format, actually they are tables with data, example - 000000_0.gz) and I need copy these tables into Vertica database.

In current implementation there is just spring job that use VerticaCopyStream to copy all tables.

Does Vertica support only this way for migration data from HDFS?

Is there way for distributed copying?

Currently I have a Hadoop cluster of 10 NameNode's.

Is it possible use Map/Reduce action + VerticaCopyStream to support distributed copying?
