High CPU usage && High load usage

Hi,
I am using vertica since 6 months. Recently we created a new database because old database corrupted on the single node. Now we are facing problem that was vertica using average 3000% cpu using on 32-core server and 120 load average. How to limit these parameters in vertica without affecting the analytics. Please let me know it what to do it is very urgent... And vertica purge performance also taking a long time. In previous database it took some less to purge 1core deleted rows but in the new database it taking 28 mins for 8 lakh deleted records let me know it which configuration parameters I have to change to clear these two issues very urgent...
