newbie question: Difficulty with log files — Vertica Forum

newbie question: Difficulty with log files

Im having an issue with Vertica filling up the /root filesystem.
It seems to be writing log files into /opt/vertica/log which is on the root filesystem.
Is there some way to manage this space (log files) better?
My /root FS is 6GB in size, and the /opt/vertica/log directory is filling over 5GB frequently.
The specific offending file is "adminTools.log", which be just spewing entries at a rapid rate. Everything seems to be "", but it's a tonne of stuff in that file.
Ive already created a job to purge the GZ files every hour, but still filling the filesystem.
What can be done about this situation?
