Microsoft Query error when querying more than one table — Vertica Forum

Microsoft Query error when querying more than one table

edited May 2018 in General Discussion

Issue:
Using Microsoft Query to connect to a HP Vertica database, I cannot add more than one table for visualization in Microsoft Query but I am able to in Microsoft Excel using the Data ODBC connection. I am also able to view any table content in the Linux server or in DBVisualizer (database management tool)

The error in Microsoft Query says:
[20] An error occurred during query execution: Multiple commands cannot be active on the same connection. Consider increasing ResultBufferSize or fetching all results before initiating another command.

**Specs: **
Microsoft Query in Microsoft Excel 2010; also in 2016
HP Vertica 8.1.0
Driver Client 9.1.0
