Can I Restore backup from 8.0 version of Vertica to 9.2?

We have vertica 8.0. We want to upgrade to 9.2.
But intermediate versions are not available for download. Unable to upgrade 8.0 directly to 9.2

Due to the fact that I can not download intermediate versions, I plan:
1. make a backup.
2. remove 8.0
3. Install clean 9.2
4 restore from backup

Can I Restore backup from 8.0 version of Vertica to 9.2?

The minimum version required for restoring to a new version of Vertica is 9.0.0-2 so unfortunately you cannot perform the restore you describe (Refer to https://www.vertica.com/docs/9.0.x/HTML/index.htm#Authoring/NewFeatures/9.0/9.0.1/BackupRestoreRecovery.htm)

Thank you, Jim_Knicely. We are users of the vertica community edition. I don’t think that Vertica Support will give me download links on version 8.1, 9.0, 9.1.

Is it possible to read somewhere about the update immediately to 9.2 without intermediate versions?

Hi, you can not upgrade directly to 9.2 from 8.0.
