Eon Mode no. of Shards effect on performance

Hi Team,

I have a Eon mode cluster comprising of 6 nodes, 6 shards. If I need to increase the no. of nodes to say 9 or 12, how will be the shards distribution per node (since we cannot increase the no. of shards once we define it at DB creation)? And if the no .of shards is more than twice the no. nodes (say 3 nodes, 9 shards), then will that affect performance?
