"memory_inuse_kb" of 'general' resource pool keeps increasing

edited May 2019 in General Discussion

I am experiencing a strange issue: at a fresh start of the database, the 'general' resource pool has about 50 GB of memory per node. After running some queries, parts of the acquired memory are never reclaimed and therefore "memory_inuse_kb" keeps increasing. It increases to as much as 30 GB when I am forced to restart the database.

There are no active resource acquisitions, and yet "memory_inuse_kb" is not going down. Version is Vertica Analytic Database v9.2.0-0.

Did the queries finish execution successfully? Are there any sessions active pertaining to those queries?
