Backup single Node and restore to Multi Node

I want to restore a single node backup (with vbr) to a fresh multi-node cluster, Is it possible?

    What about if i restore it to a single node and add other nodes to it?
    Ps: i have an unexpandable single node (it was installed with 127.0.0.1 ip address not hostname), So i want to build a new multi node with its data.

    restoring backup to single node and adding other nodes should work.
